530.1      General Purpose

The purpose of this Zone is to provide an area of public land for active and passive recreational uses, and allow for an opportunity for public schools.

530.2      Permitted Uses

  1. Carnivals, for periods not exceeding four days

  2. Child Care Services

  3. Community Recreation Services

  4. Indoor Participant Recreation Services

  5. Outdoor Participant Recreation Services

  6. Public Park

  2. The maximum building Height shall be 10.0 m unless otherwise approved by the Development Officer where deemed appropriate for the Use and having regard to the Height allowed in adjacent Zones.

  1. When reviewing Development Permit applications for any Discretionary Use in this Zone, the Development Officer shall consider any impacts that these Uses may have on the capacity of the park system to meet public needs.

  2. Signs shall comply with the regulations in Schedule 59C.
