Maximum Number of Vehicle Parking spaces to be provided on a Site, within the defined radius of a Transit Centre or LRT station; or within the boundary of the Main Streets Overlay shall comply with the following:
Residential and Residential-Related Uses
Multi-unit Housing:
Maximum 1 Vehicle Parking spaces per Studio Dwelling;
Maximum 1 Vehicle Parking spaces per 1 Bedroom Dwelling or Residential-related unit;
Maximum 1.5 Vehicle Parking spaces per 2 Bedroom Dwelling; and
Maximum 1.75 Vehicle Parking spaces per 3 or more Bedroom Dwelling or Multi-Unit Housing in the form of Row Housing.
For the purposes of this section, Residential and Residential-related Uses are those Uses that are located outside of the boundary of the Capital City Downtown Area Redevelopment Plan but are located within:
600 metres of an existing LRT station, or a future LRT station with the most recent version of a Council-approved Concept Plan;
600 metres of an existing Transit Centre, or a future Transit Centre with the most recent version of a Council-approved Concept Plan;
150 metres of a Transit Avenue; or
the boundaries shown in the Main Streets Overlay Section 819.2,
Non-Residential Uses
Maximum 1 Vehicle Parking space per 50 m2 of Floor Area.
Notwithstanding 54.2(2)(b)(i), maximum Vehicle Parking requirements shall not apply to public park and ride facilities, or an Underground Parkade.
For the purposes of this section, Non-Residential Uses are those Uses that are located outside of the boundary of the Capital City Downtown Area Redevelopment Plan but are located within:
200 metres of an existing LRT station, or a future LRT station with the most recent version of a Council-approved Concept Plan;
200 metres of an existing Transit Centre, or a future Transit Centre with the most recent version of a Council-approved Concept Plan;
150 metres of a Transit Avenue; or
the boundaries shown in the Main Streets Overlay Section 819.2,

Passenger Pick Up and Drop Off spaces
Vehicle Parking spaces that are designated for passenger pick up and drop off, and have a sign to indicate a maximum duration of 30 minutes or less, shall not count towards maximum Vehicle Parking quantities
Table 54.2.3 shall only be used as a tool to calculate the required quantity of barrier free Vehicle Parking spaces, in accordance with the following:
Deemed Minimum Parking requirements are not intended to represent the absolute number of required barrier free Vehicle Parking spaces;
Deemed Minimum Parking requirements shall be used as the basis for calculating the required quantity of barrier free Vehicle Parking spaces, in accordance with the applicable building code;
the Deemed Minimum Parking requirement does not create a requirement for standard Vehicle Parking spaces; and
the quantity of Vehicle Parking spaces provided for a development shall not apply as a substitute for the Deemed Minimum Parking requirements.
