DC2.474.1         General Purpose

The general purpose of the proposed DC5 District would be to establish a District for Convenience Commercial and Personal Service Uses, including Minor Alcohol Sales. The services to be provided in the shopping centre are intended to serve the day to day needs of residents within the established La Perle neighbourhood.

DC2.474.2         Area of Application

This DC5 District shall apply to Lot 3, Block 46, Plan 782 1059 (1.72 ha), located at 97 Avenue and 182 Street, La Perle, as shown on Schedule "A" appended to the Bylaw adopting this District.

  5. Custom Manufacturing Establishments

  6. Gas Bars

  7. General Retail Stores

  8. Government Services

  9. Health Services

  10. Household Repair Services

  11. Indoor Participant Recreation Services

  12. Minor Alcohol Sales

  13. Minor Amusement Establishments

  14. Minor Eating & Drinking Establishments

  15. Minor Second Hand Stores with a gross floor area of less than 275 m2 (2960 sq. ft).

  16. Minor Service Stations

  17. Minor Veterinary Services

  18. Personal Service Shops

  19. Professional, Financial and Office Support Services

  20. Professional Offices

  21. Public Libraries and Cultural Exhibits

  22. Rapid Drive-through Vehicle Services

  23. Religious Assembly

DC2.474.4           Development Criteria

  1. All developments in this District shall comply with Sections 310.4 and 310.5 of the Land Use Bylaw.

  2. Signs shall be allowed in this District as provided for in Schedule 79D and in accordance with the general provisions of Section 79.1 to 79.9 inclusive of the Land Use Bylaw.

DC2.474.5           Additional Development Criteria

  1. Minor Alcohol Sales shall be restricted to the western half of the district and Section 98 (3) of the Land Use Bylaw shall not apply to such development.
