DC2.478.1         General Purpose

The general purpose of the proposed DC5 District would be to establish a District for Convenience Commercial and Personal Service Uses. The services to be provided in the shopping centre are intended to serve the day to day needs of residents within the established Homesteader neighbourhood.

DC2.478.2         Area of Application

This DC5 District shall apply to Lot 80, Block 15, Plan 4097 TR (1.3 ha), located at 40 Street and Hermitage Road, Hermitage, as shown on Schedule "A" appended to the Bylaw adopting this District.

  4. Convenience Retail Stores

  5. Custom Manufacturing Establishments

  6. Gas Bars

  7. General Retail Stores

  8. Government Services

  9. Health Services

  10. Household Repair Services

  11. Indoor Participant Recreation Services

  12. Minor Amusement Establishments

  13. Minor Eating & Drinking Establishments

  14. Minor Second Hand Stores with a gross floor area of less than 275 m2  (2960 sq. ft).

  15. Minor Service Stations

  16. Minor Veterinary Services

  17. Personal Service Shops

  18. Professional, Financial and Office Support Services

  19. Professional Offices

  20. Public Libraries and Cultural Exhibits

  21. Rapid Drive-through Vehicle Services

DC2.478.4            Development Criteria

  1. All developments in this District shall comply with Sections 310.4 and 310.5 of the Land Use Bylaw.

  2. Signs shall be allowed in this District as provided for in Schedule 79D and in accordance with the general provisions of Section 79.1 to 79.9 inclusive of the Land Use Bylaw.
