88.        Uses With Special Siting, Access and Traffic Impact Requirements

  1. The siting, vehicular access and traffic movements generated by the development of the following Uses may be reviewed by Transportation Services, to ensure that the traffic impacts generated by these developments are acceptable and do not prejudice safety and traffic movements on adjacent public roadways:

  1. Child Care Services, where a passenger drop-off area is to be provided;

  2. General Retail Uses with more than 2 500 m2 of Floor Area;

  3. Hotels;

  4. Major Amusement Establishments;

  5. Bars and Neighbourhood Pubs;

  6. Nightclubs;

  7. Professional, Financial and Office Support Services;

  8. Spectator Entertainment Establishments; and

  9. Warehouse Sales.

  1. The Development Officer, based upon the advice of Transportation Services, may as a condition of approval, limit the gross Floor Area and seating capacity for any of the Uses listed in this section, in order to minimize the adverse traffic impact of the development.
